The 2007
season was the third season for #40 (previously #80). An Auburn graduate, LaKeisha is
originally from Baton Rouge LA and has a very extensive athletic
background. Strong and fast, #80 began her time with the Power as
an outside linebacker and punt return specialist. When injury hit
the Power running backs in the 2006 season, LaKeisha stepped in and
began to make a name for herself as a powerful, big back. Her
size, 5-10 and 220 lbs, makes her a hard target for opposition
defenses. Simple hits and arm tackles just don't do much to slow
her down. One of the most caring and sweetest women you could ever
meet - off the field of play - when she steps on the field, nothing gets in the way of winning.

LaKeisha is one of the most inspirational players on the Power.
Although she is no doubt one of the strongest, most athletic
players on
the roster, she is also the first to credit her teammates with her
success on the field. She knows the importance of teamwork and realizes
that it takes an entire team to win ballgames. A true team
player, L.J. shines as a leader on the field with
her game day intensity. No one is more competitive or puts more
pressure on self performance.
